First Aid Shears Versus Chainsaw Trousers?!

I can confirm that the steering wheel is a novel shape, and it makes me wince just to think how it got like that.

Going back to the shears suitable for getting through material like chainsaw trousers, on a first aid course recently the training bloke did rave a bit about the Leatherman Raptors. To be fair I don't think he's on a bung from the company, they actually do the job properly and fast, so worth the money IMO

Tuf Cut shears cost about £3 and work well. A Raptor costs about £70 and has shears plus 5 extra "features" that you don't need.

I know which one I'll be keeping in my first aid kit!

Might grab a pair for the kit bag! If they save a life, limb or even just a finger one day they've got to be worth it! I'll happy splash out on making our work environment safer!

Dunno mate - seen a couple of situations where stuff like the ring cutter could have improved the outcome!

Looking at the vid at the start of the thread that shows how effective the various shears are, the cheaper NAR Yank pair are very good, but I can't find any available?They did seem to do as well as the Raptors, for a lot less. So if you can find comparable ones, they'll do
