NFU won't insure arb companies.

So I've been looking around for new insurance as my renewal is approaching, today NFU called me back and told me they don't insure arb companies because of working at height?

Anyone else had this?

 

As aside note is there any recommendations for arb insurance you feel is reasonable? I'm currently with arborisk.

It seams the NFU aren't interested in insuring a lot of things now days, they wouldn't touch my digger or screener recently.

Was that the local office you spoke to or the main number? Sounds stupid but the local office seems to be better to get cover from

There is an advert on here, insurance for tree surgeons, they are a broker but they are great I got a good deal with them. Tell them you got their details from arbtalk and they’ll sort you out.

We were insured with them for years, one year I checked the small print in our renewal and it mentioned we were not covered to work at height.. No one at NFU had thought to highlight this to us..

I've got my two landy insured with NFU. We had our chipbox dismantled and stolen last year...it took just under 12 months for them to pay out. I recently tried to add my Sons Suzuki Jimny as a works vehicle...they wanted £12,000!!!. Guess what, I'm not renewing with these overrated clowns.

Try Adrian Flux, they do most modified vehicles , my Series II tipper was fine K
