I think the main thing is preventing contamination/dirt ingress. As it’s PTO powered and am you won’t be changing couplings over (?) which should minimize that.

I would change oil every 1000hrs and clean/replace return filter every 500.

My digger reccomends hydraulic oil replacement every 2000 hrs.

The first oil change should be carried out after 500 operating hours, all further oil changes

should then be carried out after every 1000 operating hours or annually

I prefer if it ain't broke, work on it until it is, then fix it xD

 

Did mine yesterday at 2 years, but not so many hours. Was quite a lot of tiny metal particles in the oil. Could really do with a magnetic drain plug, but I can't find one big enough.
