My missus drives 7.5 tonne horse box without an o licence? Been had by VOSA for everything but that on 4 seperate occasions.

Any hgv is exempt if you can prove you dont use it for work. I forget the exact wording now, but horseboxes, motorhomes, classic trucks that just get driven to shows etc are all exempt for o licence.

 

On the other hand, if you run a specialist haulage company moving horses and getting paid for it, then you would need an o licence.

 

Not a can of worms at all, if anything much clearer than many other vehicle related issues........

Hi,

 

Can you explain to a non mechanic how your RB tweaks went? I have one and it's so slow uphill when loaded. Seems to be a big difference between 2nd and 3rd gear so when you need to change down you can't until you've lost most of your engine revs.

 

My tyres are 225/100/R16,
