Wolf bypass tree lopper

Anyone know where I can get one, or if they have been discontinued?  I can only find anvil blades online like this one

seems it doesnt show on Wolf's own page either.  Any feedback on the anvil version?  I'm not a fan usually.

Dunno haven't seen any lately.  Have they been replaced by the new RR200 or RR400 or were these around at the same time?

I was looking at those, can't quite see how they operate but am guessing they aren't up to the heavy duty stuff the other ones were.

I have one of those adjustable ones Steve.  Works fine.  Used them quite a bit in the past.  My only problem is finding a pole for it.  I left the poles in England thinking I had used them a lot in Norway and they would be readily available.  The people advertising them don't have them in stock so I have to order online.

Thats the one mate.

 

I also need to get a polesaw blade for the extendable pole then I will be good to go.  I prefer that one as you can adjust the head somewhat to get a better angle on the pruning cut.

i'll have to give it a try.  Someone lost my bypass version which I am really annoyed about, specially as they are no longer available.  I had that set for 12 years!!!!

I've been using that for years Steve and never had a problem with the cutting.  I guess you foresee issues such as the blade not cutting all the way through perhaps?  Not an issue in my experience.

It does make a big difference getting the twig/branch right into the throat of the cutter because of mechanics but that will have applied equally to your bypass version, which I never knew existed.

i've just always found the anvil head not to leave as clean of a cut.
