Best website builder?

Recommended Posts

Sorry, I think it's been covered before but can't get the search function to work. Anyway I have a load of good images from jobs I've done, and a 'favourites' folder full of simple but classy web sites which i'll "borrow" ideas from. Two problems are money and also I want to be able to update/change the site myself so am wondering if a semi free site like wix/godaddy/wordpress etc can be made to look professional enough and what it will cost me. I already have the domain name 'habitat tree services', just need a web site editor that allows me to use it rather than their own. Any recommendations?

I use wix it's easy enough to edit and a set up once you get the hang of it and looks professional when done properly www.countrysidetreeandgardenservices.co.uk

Used Wix and Godaddy, both easy enough (not used Wordpress) and you can use your own domains.

IIRC you just have to insert the DNS thingies when asked. It's not to difficult- I managed:$

Another vote for Wordpress. Mine is hosted on GoDaddy. I'll let you judge if you think it looks professional. It was fairly simple to set up myself and I'm not really very IT savvy.

You have a dead link in your signature,  It has a double http in it.  Just thought I'd point that out in case you weren't aware.  Site looks nice though. ;)

I've been using Godaddy this week. Site is ready to launch and it took me 4 hours to do. Around £10/month, although I had previously bought my domain. I built websites in a previous life and couldn't have been more impressed with Godaddy.
