Isn't this what they used to plough up the rooting systems on cleared forestry stands?

It does doesn't it Gary ? We where wondering what it was , possibly a skidder all the ploughing was done usually with crawlers though and pretty effectively.. so not sure why there would be a plough on this ..
The photo has come out of the attic at keilder castle F.C offices , a friend is trying to save them from neglect, he knew most of the locations and machines but no idea on this one... some amazing photos though of forestry from the 1920's till 80's.

No real idea, apart from it looks plough shaped. If you say crawler were used for ripping post felling, might this have been used for creating furrows to drain wet sites what with the floatations type tyres?
