I know of a fellow who lengthened the drawbar on his trailer and had a GreenMech 220TMP on the P/U, He ran the tractor at 1000 speed at something like 1400 rpm and that was a sweet deal. Admittedly he had to unhitch the trailer to chip into it but that was a minor deal to him.

i have seen lads take off the foot plate pete and just jack knife the trailer, if there is enough room for it

The farmi are excellent. I have used one quite a lot for a mate. They are woodfuel chippers really, but handle green sruff no problem at all. On very rare occasions a piece of wood can get stuck between feed rollers and cutter, but i havent experienced this, although i am told it can happen by the owner of the machine. Bombproof with loads of power behind the chip as it comes out, and he has been running his with a 35hp deutz engine for the last five years after he got rid of his tractor and built a trailer for the chipper. Im not sure which model it is but it has about 9"x8" opening.

used a tp230 & towed a 10t grain trailer on the chipper hitch ,mind it had been reinforced

Sounds interesting how does it compare to the farmi and do you know how much he wants for it?

The trailer is a twin axel 8 ton grain trailer, what kind of drawbar and where would I find one?

best to extend the draw bar on the trailer so it reaches the pickup hitch on the tractor rather than trying to mount on the chipper. then you can tow a real trailer. shreks chippers a nice one
