Hey guys, I'm a newly qualified climber, building up my own kit to sub myself out as I'm working for a company. I was wondering what type of flip lines you guys use and what are their benefits and flaws in the long run. I was going to opt for a standard steel core flipline with micro grab but came across this fancy looking thing https://sterlingrope.com/store/work/kits-and-systems/arbor-kits-and-systems/ultimate-positioning-lanyard-kit and have really fallen in love with its versatility in acting as two in one with the additional use of being able to clip onto your bridge and used as a secondary. I'm aware that prusiks don't like sap which was an initial deterrent from using one on my flip line. Do any of you know of similar kinds of systems or any advice in regards to this particular type. Thanks a lot.

I use the blue Swedish strop with rope grab.

I like it compared to the thinner wire cores because of it's thickness it is easier to hold.

I use a 13mm & 16mm wirecore flip line for dismantling & a rope strop for pruning. The Swedish is too clumsy & numb for me.

i use grabs as Prussics are too easy fouled with dirt & sap.

don't use a wire core at all, or haven't for the last decade or more lol.

used a twin lanyard (1x 10M X11.7mm) with a binner tied on each end in the pic.

store the rope in a bag, has its plus and minus points but the versatility outpreforms any problems

Same as above, rarely use mine. 5m Marlowe with a simple prussic loop.
If I used it more often I would attach a grab or VT and pulley.
Really come into their own on ivy covered stems.
