5kw wood burner

good evening all.

 

another wood burner thread I'm afraid but new stoves come out and people's opinions change so all ways good to ask.

 

decided as we sell logs it makes sense to burn them ourselves so have had someone come and look at putting a wood burner in for us. 

 

the installer said we need to be looking for something 5kw ish. it will be to go in our living room free standing on a slate hearth.budget is max 1k. looking at a morso badger and a burley Hollywell at the moment but would verry much appreciate any recommendations or opinions on the above.

Burley seriously put out the heat. Good stoves

i've been well into my jotuls (prob a 602 would do you) as they are very efficient and been same or similar design since 1930s.

 

recently got a stovax brunel 2cb which seems to really kick it out.

 

what i miss though is that the 602, 380, and 112 jotul take good long logs as they are orientated the other way.

Burley Hollywell here . Nominal 5KW but it punts out more than that with the slide open . Was the most efficient stove on the market when it came out , think it still is . Good flame picture .

Another vote for Jotuls. I have a F370 and its a beast. Beautiful to look at and the Afterburner means there is next to no ash to deal with. The Airwash works well too.
