The big living Elm search.

As i have been cutting down hundreds of dead Elms i started to think how many large Elms have survived Dutch Elm disease. If you know of any large Elms post a picture DBH or girth. Is it a pollard or maiden. It must be living it will be interesting to know how many Elms have lived through DED and are still growing well. Happy Elm hunting:001_smile:

Brighton has a load- they never got it i think the theory being that the beetle didnt make it over the south downs. I have a feeling they spray or innoculate:confused1:the trees too.

only a matter of time untill they find there way round , and i think the reason the dont go over the downs is cos there are no elms directly on the downs so they have no reason to .but from what ive heard the can get in via shoram ?? which i think is load of crap unless there that clever they use sat navs now ?:001_tongue:
