Try checking the relays under the top feed roller cover.

 

There should be two. Waggle them first see if there is a loose connection. If it persists, try swapping the relays with ones you know are ok, they are, I am certain a standard relay same as you find on a car.

 

If this doesn't work I'm afraid it's wiring diagram and test meter

its decided to work ok now, so aint goin to fiddle with it til i got a few spare days, had a demo with a new greenmech 6inch tracked it performed pretty good, the deal is tempting.

If it's the safe-trak 16-23 you're talking about then I'd go for it - it's an excellent bit of kit.
