what are they?, i was a bit unsure about the webbing from the moving bridge around the back of the harness, i thought it could wear, but i know nothing about harness design mind.

I had to bin a TM after 3 years climbing. The webbing wore away where it passes through the lower D's. It could be avoided by periodically making slight adjustments to the length of the straps so that the friction gets spread about a bit. But still disappointing from a "top end of the market" harness.

considering a Simarghu harness meself,  i am going to check one out at a dealers and seeing as the Monkey Beaver is not stocked over here i'd rather have a good look before spending my hard earned. I like the idea of a UK made harness too.

I think I did about 3-4 years on mine before it needed a shuffle on the straps. So a regular movement every now and then will be good.

Seems about right most guys are getting about two to three years before servicing is required (Bridges yearly) and retired after 5.

For me there is still no better harness on the market, I’d like to try the new Petzl and Simarghu though.

or a Monkey Beaver.... only that doesn’t conform to European regs...
