Absolutely shocked & devastated, he was an absolute diamond. I subbed to him a few years ago, he was always a total gentleman & one heck of an arborist, knew his stuff in & out, climbed like a squirel too! Nothing phased that bloke & I learnt a lot from him in a short time. If any one has 'luggys' number please pm me. My thoughts are with you Nicola ♥ RIP buddy... (mate I will never forget that windy day up those willows over the river Avon without spikes! :-) )

This is Matt's wife - I will be on the DART (Disaster Arborist Relief Team) stand for 2 days at then Arb show, we could put a donation pot out and raise some money for a tree for Dave - I think planting one in his memory would be a lovely thing to do for his family from the Arb community. Let me know if this is a good idea and if people would like to donate. Jenny Long (Chapel Trees)

Very Sad news indeed, Dave always had long chats with me at the Arb and APF shows, he would supply wood for tests in Tewkesbury at the Blount HQ. He was a bright spark, full of life, loved our industry, always tried new kit, he was in the Arbor trolley video. My Condolences to his family and friends.

What a shock to hear this! Met Dave a couple of times - he did a bit of chainsaw milling and he dropped some wood for us to mill at a show once... motivated, up beat and genuinely nice down to earth bloke. One of us. A sad and tragic loss. Thoughts and prayers are with his family.
