We are currently working on a site at a university clearing some trees for a new building, the ecologist as stopped us from clearing an area around what they believe to be a badger hole. I and several other country types, are pretty certain it is fox hole, but anyway how do we move forward and get on with the job..

As stubby said, if they are Badgers there will be poop close to the Sett.

You'll know if they are Badgers because they dig a hole to poop into.

I would think Natural England would be the people to contact. Or the local Terrier lads, but don't tell anyone I said that.:001_rolleyes:

I hate 50/50's because I normally get them wrong.

Fox.

That's why I have advised about trail camera.

I saw this hole in our wood, actually I was walking in our wood and fell badly after my foot went inside the hole all the way to the middle of my thigh, I injured my right knee ligament which still hurt.

I thought it is a Fox but trail camera showed two adult badgers living there.
