Nothing's perfect, but that would be a very good way of staying legal. Plus the 4x4 capabilities would allow you to get into more places, especially if chipping onto the floor. And a decent chip bin trailer could give you an 8 cube capacity and still be legal.

Not on that truck, 6ton gtw.

That truck and chipper combo must weight 3ton with gear and people + 1.3-1.4 for the trailer. Which gives about 1.7ish on the trailer. More like 5 cube. If it was done with a defender 110 or 130 the weights would work out better.

Seems like agg, just keep it simple tow the chipper behind the tipper,

The truck with a chipper bolted to it looks a bit daft too it's a wast of a truck as it's only good for one job now and if eather truck or chipper brake down or need services etc there both out of action

I have seen a chipper fixed to the back of lorry think it was about 12 tonner it had a 3 way tipper body and was towing a high sided tipper trailer looked good set up

You'd be best to talk to Ifor Williams. I doubt that they've started to make trailers specifically to take a rear hitch, anyone that's nailed one on probably needs to head for an IVA test. A little TW chipper isn't physically too bad, but it could all get out of hand on the road very quickly. A chap locally used to take an empty Ifor to site behind his Wood Mizer, it was quite a rig :D
