cardboard boxes for kindling

I thought you were going to suggest using cardboard boxes for kindling - but now I see what you mean.

Not sure if people expect all 'burning' wood to be supplied in nets to ensure good ventialtion. I guess boxes would be easier to stack/store and not leave any mess.

 

Could be worth a try. Never thought of it myself.

Perforate one end so it opens and makes a 'grab box' and that would be good (like a box of crisp pacets). Less mess and tidier looking

 

 

(he says while looking at his wood stove that needs a clean, a hearth that defenitely needs a clean and the carpet in front of it all covered in splinters)

Nets I buy are £0.14, I sell kindling from £1.50. The extra £0.56 for the box (assuming everything else is equal) would push the price beyond what is commercially possible. Of course there may be marketing advantages from a nicely printed box, but that again would add to your cost. I apply swing tags to mine, which not only creates a brand, but also has contact details on them as well as burning tips on the back. Good luck.
