This thread caused me to dig out my old 10mm strop with the loose stowed in a chalk bag.

I nicked the VT bits for something else ages ago.

Used my mates Zillon today and really liked it.

Anyone tried it on 10mm? And can I buy the Zillon unit separately anywhere?

How was it better than a short vt with a pulley mark?

Climbed on my mates Zillon yesterday again and got on really well with it again. Climbing skinny poles on a lapsed willow pollard, so I really liked the compactness and ability to cinch up tight on 4" stems.

I object to buying the rope though, although it worked well enough. I'd like to try it on my 10mm line.

I think the doubled over plastic sheath thing is numb, it doesn't do anything a simple stopper knot doesn't.

Dug out my wire flip line today for the first time in over a year and I've got the isc grab thingy majigger on it. Wow! How much I hate that thing in comparison to my art positioner on a bit of 11.5 scion ! Having to pull myself in to release is a ballache. Love the positioner. I climb with a zz on my main line which makes me want to ask the question, is there any issues with side loading the zillon ? Or does it tend not to be a problem
