Horses for courses is correct! All these larger vehicles that would make me legal for carriage would be a mare to take into the center of town... perhaps taking my l200 tipper and 1150kg chipper around isn't lawful or sensible but the alternatives would only be super expensive and impractical[emoji848]

If that's the case I'm going to go around Woodbridge chorring arb equipment.

It's not lawful, but it will pay the bills.

Yeah but, what else can we moan about?

If it's not pensions, the cost of tipping, or running the correct vehicle for the job we would have nothing to go on about.

The price of booze would be a good starting point!

I run two Transit vans because I've got plenty of tip sites close by and rarely travel more than 10 miles from base.

I also keep them at home and I couldn't do that if I moved up to a lorry, then I'd be paying rent to park it and have to travel to get it every day.

If I travelled slightly further and did more work that required a 12" chipper or bigger I'd get a lorry immediately as it's clearly the better and more profitable way to work. But I don't.

Aspenarb Bob once explained it all to me and it really is impossible to justify a 3.5t tipper (unless you park at home and only travel a few miles.)
