i like citroen. Had a C15 for 9 years and never let me down despite being abused. Now got a 10 plate berlingo multispace to ferry the kids around. had it 4 years now and again not one once of trouble. Its a brilliant multipurpose vehicle. So for me it would be citroen all the way.

Yeah I would be interested in views on the Peugeot citroen bipper van. Just chopped my 05 corsa van (brilliant van) in for next model 09 plate. Ecu now waked, common problem as they get rainwater in them. Also it's bigger dimensions on the outside and smaller on the inside then the older shape. Does drive brilliantly but it is not as economical as the old one.( both 1.3 diesels) spoke to a specialist who said it is a fiat engine which would explain the electrical problems- damn Italians!!!!!

Any of the little French car derived vans are good value, I think a good few of them are badge engineered and use the same running gear.

My 04 Berlingo Multispyrs 2.0 HDI has 178,000 on the clock, know all the things to expect. Alternators every 80,000 heater fan resistor every 4 yrs. Finally changed the clutch and gear linkages at 169,000 apart from that just tyres, pads and usual service items nothing else. Tows 750kg unbraked, 1.4 ton braked enough for me.

Avoid the wee Fords (Connect?) - heavy on fuel and tyres

I have the low powered connect 07 plate for running around. 500 miles to a tank of fuel I think that's quite good.
