I got a message from them saying if I send them the measurements they will build it to those specs!

I'm just a bit unsure on how I would attach it to the tipper bed.

Would nuts and bolts be sufficient or would I need to get in a welder.

Cheers.

Sounds like a good deal - Too good to be fair. The ally would cost that.

I'd expect you would weld two bars onto the rear columns and then just bolt or monobolt rivet it to the rest. Depends on if you want to have it removable.

If you have a tipper van there should be 2 connection points at the back and 1 on the ram undo them and your back will lift off if your new back has different fittings or no fittings cut them off your old back and get a welder to engineer them on your new backs.

Thanks for the advice mate I may have to pick your brains if I try your setup.

any ideas of the weight difference between ally plank vs ally sheet and frame?

My four aluminium dropside come in at 56kg in total. This is 3.2m long and 40cm height each.

Significantly heavier that a steel sheet I'd expect. It is pretty sturdy though. I have a couple of steel box sections running across the top.
