So I am seriously considering buying this van. Is has anyone on here ran a crafter as an Arb truck. How hard is it going to be to remove the tail lift. Thanks all.

I would advise against a crafter the one we have is very close to weight limit with no chipper or tools. And the bucks can be huge on them meaning you'll be overweight massively. Vw or Merc are good in some respect but don't run them to their max capacity. And it is very easy to do when you have the space and need to finish the last little bit of the job.

I'd take someone along who can give it a good check over mechanically. Unless you're good at that sort if thing.

Cheers I took my dad who gave it a good look over! It comes with the option of a 2 year warranty for £450 which I think I will take. Plus the dealer is going to put a new tailgate on the tipper body which has seen better days.

Depends what your pulling as 100hp ain't much and once loaded it will be hard going.

Check the rear springs, we have the older version of this and as standard only have a single leaf so sat on its arse when a fly landed on it! It will need uprated springs fitting if there not doubles.

What's the payload it can take? You'll need to build a chip box as well. You'll likely run out of weight before you do space though.

If possible get them to load it up with weight up to the max limit to see how it sits & drives then.

As mentioned 100bhp (& that would've been at new) isn't much & you've only got single wheels at the back too.

Take your time. The right truck is out there for you 👍
