Had you put the chain on the drive sprocket right ? Most likely cause.

 

 

Well I presume so . . . Put the standard bar on and all ok. Would pull ok with the decomp in though. Strange eh

Or the Sugi bar is a touch longer, and the bar is pressed up tight to the sprocket.

Wont be that as I run a Sugi on mine and its not a problem even with a larger dia 8 pin .

I'm sure. It was maybe a simple case of the chain wasn't on right?? Who knows. Seems ok now anyway. (Touch wood) lol

Yea you can get it jammed down between the powermate and the crank case wall .
