MS660 sprocket advice

I am using my 660 for logging oversize timber for firewood. What is the preferred sprocket to use? Using a 25" bar with oregon 75LPX chain. Thank you

I run my 661 with an 8 tooth sprocket thats with a 24" bar for every day use. But I do carry a 7 tooth as a spare for no particular reason over an 8 tooth it's just what i picked up as a spare

If you like to lean on the saw then use the 7pin to make use of the torque .If you let the saw do the work and dont lean on it heavily then use the 8pin for the extra chain speed .

Pointless unless you have a tuned racing saw . Maybe a ported 395 with a 15" bar and chain . Got some racing sprockets somewhere if you want to try one .

I wonder what the life expectancy of the chain and bar would be on something like that ? It would be out of the bar guides at the sprocket end and running faster than recommended getting hot.
