4wd tippers? Which is best?

Sounds good.

I use to have the pleasure (if you can call it that) of trimming a bright green tall conifer on the front lawn of the house 2 doors up from where you are, nightmare to reach the top of it and the customer had to make sure the point was just right! Fortunately don't do hedges any more. :thumbup1:

Were you spying on us [emoji848]

Why, did they come over and ask if you could trim the same tree!? It's funny actually cos when I read this thread earlier in the week and saw the pic of your hilux I had no idea you were from round here, could have been from Manchester for all I knew. So thought it was a bit of a coincidence to pass your truck when this thread was running!

No- not spying, wife was driving so didn't barely get a second glimpse!!

Loads of places to offload chip around here Mick so a few trips with a small chip box is no problem. Plus our rural lanes can be very narrow making a small truck a boon. Just gone from a Dmax to an old Hilux which is a few inches narrower. Makes life one hell of lot easier.

I've only seen Mick the P.... Dempsey's post as quoted in the above as thank goodness I'm on "selected immunity" as per pic attached. Sorry for the derail, but it sure reminds me I don't miss his cantankerous sour grapes. :thumbup1:

Can I ask where did you get your back made up? I'm wanting a bit of a custom canopy to go on the back of my Landy so I can have took boxes etc built in but still be able to carry fencing stakes etc. Not sure who does that kind of thing round here.

It was converted by the garage i bought if off up in Watford, I guess you just need the tipping back with out the high sides for your posts to fit but I have no idea around here who does any conversions, plymouth city council have there Arb wagons all made up maybe ask one of them next time you come into the big city

Yes they do, in fairness the ones I have seen look fairly good, was hoping to find someone a bit more independent who would perhaps be more up for discussion on my requirements etc and not feel like I'm being done over for the privilege!

Might end up using them though!!
