Hi all I have just fitted a new anvil on my tw150 chipper but there seems to be quite a lip onto the anvil looking in through the feed bin! Which causes the brash to snag when being fed in!!

Help!!!

Don't think there should be a lip. Unless you fitted it upside down[emoji12]. 2 things it could be. Is it seated down correctly, did you get any crap caught underneath it?

Or could the edge against where it sits have got worn down as well as the old anvil?

Bet the metal is worn in the way to the anvil. So when you fit bew anvil it appears to sit up but thats where it should be.

Either its been run for ages with a crap rounded anvil at some point or its ware and tare and metals worn.

You could try chamfer the roller box side of the anvil

I have a similar issue with my jensen. Though it still works ok so will leave as is lol

The thing is you cannot weld a piece in as its only worn 2/3mm away or so? The plan for me would be to strip the machine a bit so you can get to the area. Then weld some lines on the area till complete cover of weld and built it up then use a flatting disc on grinder to smooth it a bit. All you can do id say
