Not as clumpy but probably the best chainsaw climbing boot in terms of movement i have tried , not as comfy on spikes for very long periods , the zermatts where great for that but are a very warm and restrictive boot in comparison.. can’t believe no one has tried the built in foot loop!

I use a footloop so i dont use the built in one matty.Maybe give it a bash just to see if its robust enough to handle it

Aye I find it worrying as I’ve ruined two XRSE crabs on the bottom clip on a haas clipping them to a foot loop.. last two pairs of Andrews I’ve had have not had the foot loop and I’ve near worn out my 4srt one but with the kind of pressure that can destroy a carabiner I’m thinking what will it do to a boot!

I’ve been wearing them for 1.5 years. Very well made boots and the midsole has now deteriorated which is annoying as the rest of the boot is in perfect condition. Apart from the HAAS loop which started fraying about three months ago and snapped last week.
I think the reason the midsole has crumbled is because i don’t take care standing in tight forks and generally have never taken care of the boots anyway.
I’d say they are an excellent choice if you like stiff boots.

I really can’t get any love simmering for these new generation clumpy ‘deep sea diver’ boots.
They all look like they need a set of crampons on them.
I bought a pair of Stein Phantoms and I walked like I’d shat myself . As for tree traction, it didn’t exist. Had to sell them after a month .
Meindl Airstreams even worse. Slippy and inflexible beyond belief and cut the circulation to my tosies.
I guess it’s all courses for horses and everyone’s different , but give me a pair of Lavaro Sherwoods any day. Traction supremo in any weather and super flexible .

Sometimes I’m sure that these new wave boots look better and more technical than they actually perform?
I certainly was enamoured by their looks......until I left the kitchen .
Perhaps I’m wearing them on the wrong feet ?
