I just jumped one train and sent him an invoice. To be honest he's just a kid and still sort of finding his feet. He's phoned and apologised since just said he slept in.

Ive been messed about abit in the past though so never really take it to well any more.

Just rebooked the job for next week. See how it goes then.

Make sure you get paid for today before you go back to do the job next week. Or you could be out two days money.

I hope you jumped on the train and invoiced them? I can't stand myself or others being late. The lads who sub for me know to let me know if they are going to be more than five minutes late so I can let the client know, I show the same respect to them in return.

If a job is cancelled after 1400 the day before the subbie gets a full days pay, maybe I'm soft or fair not sure which.

Bang on john. And if they're a competent hardworking lad or lady and you treat them right then the next time you need their assistance...... Well blow me they do everything they can to help!

Not saying i don't treat incompetent ones the same, they just get told and don't get called again.

Sounds spot on to me.

I hate when people say "I'm not really a morning person"

As though it's an actual medical condition as opposed to just being lazy and rude.

7 years I've worked with some-one who is often tardy in the mornings and who never apologises for delaying the depart. Then falls asleep in the cab or simply sulks for the entire outward journey. Never felt he had to justify his time keeping to me.

Back in October with 2 vehicules and 3 of us kept waiting for 15min I drove off to the job without him.

The begining of the end.

Ty
