l200 cutting out.

Bought an 07 plate l200 a few months back, great truck but recently been cutting out at junctions and lights in low revs. Starts straight away again but been doing it more often last couple of weeks. any ideas?

Not familiar with 2007 L200 in this respect but symptoms sound like SCV valve in CR fuel pump...

 

A quick internet search shows support for this theory...

Had a old land rover 110 which did some like that turned out to be loss terminal on ignition switch maybe worth a look.

SCV cheap fix if you can get one from motor factors mitz wanted £400 got one for £70.

Sounds just like my car a couple of weeks ago. Was the idle control valve, just a quick clean with carb cleaner fixed it. Don't know if you have one on your motor?

Does my mechanical ignorance show then?! Maybe try some wd40 and a hammer instead...

carb cleaner:thumbup1: used on the maff on my hilux, cleans all the greasy crap .

My Isuzu did the same changed scv that sorted it.

 

I bought one off eBay get the number off fuel pump and get the corresponding one was about £70. Garage took an hour to change it.
