Have run 3/8 on mine for the last 4 odd years, normally on an 18" bar. Runs it fine and anyone that has used it says what a ripper it is. Chain speed is increased as the sprocket size is larger.

Both. I changed my 357xp to 3/8 as well, transforms it in my eyes. You will need to get a sprocket for a 560/562 as they don't list one for a 550, fits straight on with no other parts to alter (bar and chain obviously).

Nope you have to change the clutch drum as well as the 325 and 3/8 sprocket centre's are different sizes.

Channged both 560s over and ordered the 550 to come with it as means I have 6 saws all running the same size chain so get reals and make up to suit which works out a fair bit cheaper.

Possibly but I struggled to find 1 and so did rob d so for a few more quid just changed the drum then it's easy all the time to get a new rim should 1 bust.
