Woodywood, with that sort of quantity you might be as well to ring it up and sell it on per cubic meter. Timber doesn't always weight as much as you think. As mentioned above because it is not a full load the cost of transport in lenghts will decrease its value significantly. If you have no trailer or way of delivery then advertise it or ring a few local firewood dealers, whoever comes to buy put a tape on their trailer, length x breath x height will give you the cubic meters to water level, allow a little hump to compensate for dead space in the load. We get €60 per cube over here, I would imagine you will get something the same. You'll have no problem selling beech.

have just felled 2 beech 6 to 8ton will take 1.500 for all will need to collect.

Damn it, I got the wrong info last time I felled a bunch of Oak and Ash then.

I had to give it away but by your reckoning I could have sold it for £1.7 billion!
