Might be worth looking at a sherpa as940. They're ride on and remote and will go on steep ground. Price with remote is 15-16k I think.

I used to do sewerage sites which were very steep. We bought an Orec G-Tech bank mower. I think they're close to £5000 new. We had a demo from scag, Wessex and few others. None came close to the capability of the Orec machine.

Have seen a Scag with twin wheels in action awesome piece of kit, was used to mow bank alongside an artificial ski slope, we purchased last year a ferris with Kawasaki engine, obliterated everything gorse, grass , cost all in including a service was just under £400 paid for itself in a couple of jobs.

I’ve just purchased a Flailbot from Field and Forestery and looking to get into this kind of work.  I’ve cut grass and scrub my whole working life and I’m fed up sitting in machines getting bounced about and on the saw or strummer all day is a young man’s game.  I had a 48” Scagg years back for banking work but ankles get abused and the fumes really affected my asthma.  Looking forward to it arriving later this week.

Fantastic for utility work and maintenance. However I’m not a fan of the current trend towards using flailbots on conservation sites just to tick a safety box. Mulching everything and enriching the site is the antithesis of conservation sites!!
