It's some sort of international women's rights day today.

So I thought I'd reflect on my own beloved work sector and ask where are the female arborists?

Is this a male dominated industry and why?

Should we be making more efforts to balance this?

Be very interested to hear people's opinions.

Thanks.

My occasional groundie has a mate in Inverness, holly! Not sure if she is still working, had a couple of kids now. Defo need more female arb workers, balance out some of the macho bullshit.

Seen a female arborist just before Christmas working in the Litchfield area just north of Birmingham. If I remember right the name was ACW Arb. She also looked to have a very professional outfit.
