Skip chain stupidity??

Be careful of modifying existing chains with a grinder - it can weaken the chain on that cutter. I snapped a couple in the early days doing this...

I think you will need the clutch side cover from a 562 to make room for the 3/8 drive . You will find though that if you run outer dawgs on a 560 they wont fit the 562 clutch cove as the mounting holes are further apart .

Seen a bunch of people running the 3/8 and it seems just a sprocket and bar/chain is all that's needed.

 

If there's a way to get a 562 case and dawwwwwgs that would be awesome.

This saw doesn't get to much use so want to make it a monster with full wrap and skip chain.

As I understand it you grind off every third cutter, so you end up with two cutters (L&R or R&L) then a gap and so on.

That should give a semi skip if I'm right? Still be faster than full comp chain.

3 up from bottom is a 20" http://www.sugiharabarsuk.co.uk/product-category/group-3-husqvarna-chainsaws/page/2/ tbh I've never seen one bigger than an 18" in that mount so surprised to see this!
