Just looking for a general opinion. What really is the best felling wedge to use, and what is the best 2 sizes? Any help/opinions?

Always used these, no real problems if you know how to use them.

Always preferred these

But if you like the hilift put these nylon inserts instead of the wood and they last far longer

With the plastic instead of Wöod inserts you can also get from Clarkes these would be my first choice.

Nice one :-) not seen the plastic handles before! So they take mallet splatter well?

A timber insert would last me about a year if I was very lucky but had the plastic 1 for about 3 years now and apart from annoyingly bouncing out the alloy it's almost indestructible.

I use a couple of the medium plastic wedges at the sides then a highlift in the centre, sees most stuff over that doesn't need a pull.

Usually the Lil plastic wedges are only any use for taking big stumps right down (if you can't find a stick)

3 wedges? Personally I find that excessive (not knocking you) there's not many trees you need more than 2 high lifts... Imho
