4mm accessory cord. clove hitch on the stopper knot side of the plate, over to a tautline, then closed the tails together with a double fishermans. Does the job nicely.:thumbup1: I only shorten it for a long ascent really.

Neat rope work 👍. (Fair bit cheaper as well!)

I have been looking in to this for a while but not been brave enough to tinker with the original fittings, so was wondering if just for ascending using the hitch climber any one had used a short sling for example a rescue strop, attached to some kind of ring on one end and threaded on to the bridge, then clip the Dmm oval on to the other.

Not sure I'm making sense? But I carnt be the only person needing a bit more room between me and the hitch climber pulley?

Cheers
