Adjustable Bridge For Treemotion

What Marc said.. Im using 4mm cord to make a small friction hitch off the d plate on the treemotion. Easier, lighter, cheaper and more gangsta Will try to get a picture if i remember.

I tried a kong duck, but found it kept creeping. So now using a petzl rope grab which is a lot better. This is on a monkey beaver harness though.

And before anyone says anything it's not bee line being used it's arborplex which according to retailer is safe to use

Sorted it now👍. Got meself the Ropeman 2 with the tiny DMM spring gate (rated at 4kn). Job done.

4mm accessory cord. clove hitch on the stopper knot side of the plate, over to a tautline, then closed the tails together with a double fishermans. Does the job nicely. I only shorten it for a long ascent really.

I have been looking in to this for a while but not been brave enough to tinker with the original fittings, so was wondering if just for ascending using the hitch climber any one had used a short sling for example a rescue strop, attached to some kind of ring on one end and threaded on to the bridge, then clip the Dmm oval on to the other.

 

Not sure I'm making sense? But I carnt be the only person needing a bit more room between me and the hitch climber pulley?

I used a Lyon sling before to give a bit of distance between me and the hitch climber, also had a go with the o rig which enables you to adjust the distance while climbing without the need to unclip a sling

O rig is definitely the way to go. Think treemagineers have a you tube demo
