Aha, a thread I can be of use in!

Traditionally, Vodafone & Orange have the strongest networks, but it all depends on where you're planning on using it (as obvious as that sounds, it never failed to amaze me how many people just put up with not having a mobile phone signal in their house!).

Being an ex Vodafone employee, that's who I'm with and I'm very very rarely out of coverage, even up here in the barren wildernesses of Scotland! That said, the only other company I'd use would be Orange.

funny you should say that... I worked in Telecoms for a number of years and I wouldn't touch Vodafone with anyones let alone my own... :001_tt2:

o2 here.

i looked at the blackberry storm 2 today, im slightly tempted as im fed up with the roller balls on the curves etc....the storm 2 is supposed to be far improved from the first version.

i also looked at the iphone...which is not push mail, but you can set it to download every 15 minutes....not interested in that option really.

  • 7 months later...

After my third Sony Vivaz and second 3G sim card, I took the two I had left into a Vodafone store, the lady was excellent and managed to scrounge a Bold 9700 for me, I should have heeded Mr Bullmans advice, I like it already, yeah the Sony has an amazing lens and the screen has incredible quality but I never got used to that touchscreen and the strange internet no workie, all of a sudden, business.

i lost by blackberry bold a couple of weeks ago at a party at college, and it wasn't insured so guess what im buying out of this months paycheck? :blushing::sneaky2::thumbdown:

Is it not insured under your home insurance? My son lost his iPhone on a school trip recently  and the house insurance will cover it (there is an excess to pay of course!).
