Lost 5th gear, new box? (Cabstar)

Long drive yesterday (200 miles) towing heavy grinder @60mph ish

 

Speedo stopped working all of a sudden and engine management light comes on, of course i carried on regardless.

 

After a fuel stop i pulled off and now cant select 5th, no grinding noise, stick moves normal, just no drive.

 

All other gears fine.

 

fixable or new box?

I goes into all other gears fine, might be worth checking still.

Usually there is a number of cables and on might have poped off.

I've been driving without fifth gear and third gear for near on a year now..

 

Doesn't seem to be a problem....

I wouldn't want to be missing a gear when loaded especially with the hills round yer!! Thrashing the nuts up hill cause ya can't get out of second and then when on the run thrashing the nuts cause you can't shift from 4th!! Rather you than me

My Landy lost 4th gear for about 3 months, then it came back. So you might get lucky
