I'm not sure it's a viable business opportunity to be honest. But then again I'm not very clued up on that side of things so I may be wrong. I'm sure someone could give some more accurate advice though I would say what size bags you were on about.

There is no going rate. It's a waste product. If you can get rid of it for free, in a hassle free and efficient manner, you are doing well.

 

The farm come every month or two for mine with the grain trailer.

What's involved in pressing briquettes, Could a log splitter be modified for diy briquettes? I'm sure it's not that simple.:-)

What is the going rate for a dried bag of sawdust suitable for bedding

 

 

 

We'll take it and mix it in with our woodchip for the boiler if you want rid Brian!

 

Horsey types would buy it if it was dust extracted maybe..

I have heard of people buying wood pellets by the bag to use as bedding CRAZY

A couple of the girls with the horses here take it as is for their horses.

 

No dust extraction, no drying, nowt.

 

As soon as I move the processor, they're there shovelling it up!

 

Can't even get some for my chickens!!! :thumbdown:

Fair enough, horsey types are his best bet. Take a card or a simple leaflet round some horse yards locally, I bet they'll not be able to get enough of it!
