Firstly these arent my personal reduction but a few ive found on instagram over the years.

The picture I put up for sure is not a great reduction, the tree was quite close to the house, had a considerable cavitiy near the base. They didn't want to lose the tree so this was 'the compromise' and by no means an example of a good reduction. I thought that's what this thread was about[emoji28]

The scarey results mostly seem to come from cuts >10 cm, which the standard discourages.

Hard to judge any of these without knowing the objective and prior condition, etc.

If you use the reference of the conifers on right in the first 2 individual photos you can see the difference. I agree it's harder to see in the other photos, but plenty of brash came off and the client was so pleased we all got £20 tips !!!
