I'm after a plough to either hire/buy to plough a 40 acre field for a customer of mine! (Yes, using the Mog)

Can anyone give me firm that hire them out preferably please??

Many thanks

Buying a plough can turn out very expensive if the boards , skimmers etc are on there last , has above sub out and make a bit for yourself , a good contractor with 5/6 will rattle that off in a day .

Tedious I totally understand but I promised the customer I'd do it. Don't want to sub it out either. It's one of those jobs I've got to do myself! Crazy I know but it's just the way it is at that site

A mog is not the best thing to plough with. Just hire a tractor and plough in.

I've got to give it a go though! I'd rake leaves in the Mog if I could as it's my new toy! Lol

I have seen Mogs plowing, and I entirely sympathise with your wish to do it, as long as you take the body off so you can see the soil turning. but... somewhere in my hazy memory is something about the front furrow width, a small plough (3f) may not go out wide enough, and a bigger plough with 4f may fit, and will get nearer to the hedge if you are ploughing in.
