We have a quadchip mk2 and its silly easy to maintain. Over 150hrs no faults. We fill a 3.5t truck within 30-45mins, depending on material. No other chipper has a hopper as large in the 750kg market, makes every job so much easier.

My dad has a tw230 and i cant help thinking the design is still very old. The hopper is narrow and the metal is thin. It does have 1hp more and the brochure says it can chip 5.5t an hour verus the qc 4.7t per hour. Most labourers struggle to chip 1t per hour so either chipper is more than fast enough for any job.

Id buy another qc, the tw230 is cheaper, so more for the financially focused, where the qc is a bit more expensive, but you get so much more of a machine. A much better design imo.

Either way both will do the job well!.
