She's still popping out.

 

Returning to the tank now and not through the spool.

Fitted a new male quick release coupling, incase it was worn.

 

If the flow rate from the tractor is too high, could this be the problem?

 

Absolutely

 

It's not something I have experienced, even with a quick release supply to a FAE mulcher.

 

 

Does it get hot at all?

I have, someone robbed the PTO pump off my trailer the only spare I had was running a side arm flail and massively over size. It was practically unworkable but it served to get the legs up and crane stowed.

 

In hydraulics, too much is not always a good thing

One spool is adjustable, I will need to try it screwed right down.
