Do it on a daily rate (8hrs) at around £280 quid.

 

Then pay someone a hundred quid a day and pocket the rest.

 

As I can hire a wheeled digger for around £30 / hr I would consider that a bit steep. Consider plant costs and skill needed to operate each machine.

We charge £120 + delivery for a man and a 11 ton splitter for a full day. Under 4 hours gets charged half day anything over is a full days cost.

Understood, which is why I don't split wood for clients.

 

I tell them to get some farmer to do it.
