😂😂not that missing point bollocks again 42. I’ll take that and the reaction of that list of ATL clowns/liars as a compliment all day long , pretty much the same crowd from he old covid thread spouting the same nonsense and left wing shite as they did then yourself included.  Anyway 42 I’ll be off to get some Kip now. I look forward to the seeing what else going on in America you can link trump with in today’s instalment of Potus. “ A true story of derangement and suffering “

don't know if it is a paranoia you suffer from that the world is against just you, a vanity that you think you are the centre of the universe, a desperate craving for attention that you look for it anywhere, or just straight up trolling... but an imaginary group of "ATL" chatting in the background to work against you? Seriously? You need to get doing some thinking and perhaps get some help there.

Says the man that enjoys searching the internet for what can only be described as doom spiral news coverage.

For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty. Lt. Col. Rogers, Field Artillery, distinguished himself in action while serving as commanding officer, 1st Battalion, during the defense of a forward fire support base. In the early morning hours, the fire support base was subjected to a concentrated bombardment of heavy mortar, rocket and rocket propelled grenade fire. Simultaneously the position was struck by a human wave ground assault, led by sappers who breached the defensive barriers with bangalore torpedoes and penetrated the defensive perimeter. Lt. Col. Rogers with complete disregard for his safety moved through the hail of fragments from bursting enemy rounds to the embattled area. He aggressively rallied the dazed artillery crewmen to man their howitzers and he directed their fire on the assaulting enemy. Although knocked to the ground and wounded by an exploding round, Lt. Col. Rogers sprang to his feet and led a small counterattack force against an enemy element that had penetrated the howitzer positions. Although painfully wounded a second time during the assault, Lt. Col. Rogers pressed the attack killing several of the enemy and driving the remainder from the positions. Refusing medical treatment, Lt. Col. Rogers reestablished and reinforced the defensive positions. As a second human wave attack was launched against another sector of the perimeter, Lt. Col. Rogers directed artillery fire on the assaulting enemy and led a second counterattack against the charging forces. His valorous example rallied the beleaguered defenders to repulse and defeat the enemy onslaught. Lt. Col. Rogers moved from position to position through the heavy enemy fire, giving encouragement and direction to his men. At dawn the determined enemy launched a third assault against the fire base in an attempt to overrun the position. Lt. Col. Rogers moved to the threatened area and directed lethal fire on the enemy forces. Seeing a howitzer inoperative due to casualties, Lt. Col. Rogers joined the surviving members of the crew to return the howitzer to action. While directing the position defense, Lt. Col. Rogers was seriously wounded by fragments from a heavy mortar round which exploded on the parapet of the gun position. Although too severely wounded to physically lead the defenders, Lt. Col. Rogers continued to give encouragement and direction to his men in the defeating and repelling of the enemy attack. Lt. Col. Rogers’ dauntless courage and heroism inspired the defenders of the fire support base to the heights of valor to defeat a determined and numerically superior enemy force. His relentless spirit of aggressiveness in action are in the highest traditions of the military service and reflects great credit upon himself, his unit, and the U.S. Army.

Page honoring Charles C Rogers for his Vietnam war service is now defunct with letters ‘DEI’ added to website...

The US defense department webpage celebrating an army general who served in the Vietnam war and was awarded the country’s highest military decoration has been removed and the letters “DEI” added to the site’s address.

On Saturday, US army Maj Gen Charles Calvin Rogers’s Medal of Honor webpage led to a “404” error message. The URL was also changed, with the word “medal” changed to “deimedal”.

Rogers, who was awarded the Medal of Honor by then president Richard Nixon in 1970, served in the Vietnam war, where he was wounded three times while leading the defense of a base.

According to the West Virginia military hall of fame, Rogers was the highest-ranking African American to receive the medal. After his death in 1990, Rogers’s remains were buried at the Arlington national cemetery in Washington DC, and in 1999 a bridge in Fayette county, where Rogers was born, was renamed the Charles C Rogers Bridge.

As of Sunday afternoon, a “404 – Page Not Found” message appeared on the defense department’s webpage for Rogers, along with the message: “The page you are looking for might have been moved, renamed, or may be temporarily unavailable.”

Oh, wow! There are so many stories on this subject to choose from (eradicating the efforts of women, queer, coloured people, etc. from military websites, including, hilariously enough any mention of the famously-homosexual nuclear bomber, the Enola Gay...) but this one really is a shocker.

Navajo code talkers scrubbed from history.

A two-man team of Navajo code talkers attached to a Marine regiment in the Pacific relay orders over the field radio using their native language.

Articles about the renowned Native American Code Talkers have disappeared from some military websites, with several broken URLs now labeled "DEI."

Why it matters: From 1942 to 1945, the Navajo Code Talkers were instrumental in every major Marine Corps operation in the Pacific Theater of World War II.

They were critical to securing America's victory at Iwo Jima.

'morning Gareth,

Pertinent to this thread though, The Trump is a doom spiral - think I said the other afternoon that I haven't seen any good news stories about him for a few weeks, doesn't need much searching to get the negative stories, they are all over the news!

Code talkers - because they didn't have a written language their 'code' was impossible to crack.

More history re-written so that the white man is the superior race. Of course, there are no parallels to any history there.

Just because it's not splashed over your Twatter feeds doesn't mean good things aren't happening.

I just don't need to trawl the depths of social media finding TDS memes and going into a chicken little doom spiral.

If you want doom spiral fire up the labour thread.

... go on then.... name one... and I bet you are going to say 'sacking all the low paid junior workers'

They weren't junior, but probationary.

Like any business, LIFO.

But yes, a return to normal non climate alarmism and restarting nuclear.

I read the Dutch are restarting their nuclear later this year after climate types closed it a few years back, the french are planning 6 under a government backed loan and orano expansion.

So yes, less rhetoric and more action.
