Nothing wrong with a Passat estate: it's about the only thing that is a suitable replacement for the old Volvo estates: fishing, fosslin, camping, bung everything in the back and go.

This is Passat number 4 for me and the wife over the last 25 years, can't fault them as a machine. As you say, throw it all in the back, and there's still room to spare.

We had a sport version last decade, that was great for running up and down French motorways between the Alps and UK/Ireland.

Funny story (well, not very funny, to be honest) about how we got the current one, I'll type it up when I've finished work.

Old Merc estates give the Volvo's a run for their money. My beat up old W124 was just grand until I got a van. Probably more load space than the bloated modern pickups and far more than all the crappy SUVs.

Have 4x4 capability and the ability to tow 3500kg did it

That’s very commendable and entirely your choice, I hope they don’t “tax you into oblivion “ for the privilege of owning it as you wished upon others regarding a different type of vehicle.can it tow 3500kg ?? 4x4 ??

Uh oh, have your vehicle's technical specs. to the ready lads and lasses! To be able to  comment on this discussion we now have a new qualifying question. Opinions on the Potus will NOT BE TOLERATED unless adequate off-road and towing capability can be proven.

Unlike some others who only post every tenuous link they can find that stirs up racial hatred or criticizes Keir Starmer and the Labour Government eh?

Or who whine like bitches because other people don't bother to fill out a hidden employment status box on a public forum.

Ther's something not right about... oh god the choices!

Nothing wrong with a Passat estate: it's about the only thing that is a suitable replacement for the old Volvo estates: fishing, fosslin, camping, bung everything in the back and go.

Angry man today lad 😂😂old SP obviously is very reticent to share his employment status, I must admit it’s more of a running joke than anything nowadays, its always amusing to see how many different ways he worms out of giving an answer.

Facts are what I post not tenuous links 🤷‍♂️I’ve been down the boring BS racist blah blah accusation route before 🤷‍♂️means nothing just bs left wing shite that doesn’t hold any water 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️just words.
Yes I totally agree “ choices “ 👍👍whatever vehicle is most suitable and id certainly not wish anyone to be “ taxed to oblivion “ for making that choice as a certain Passat driver did on here .
You think Labour are doing a good job like ??

Is that a record for cross threading*.

Employment thread

Labour thread

Tax on 'hilux' vehicle type thread

Making the news today thread (where the racist stuff usually goes)

But on topic thread Trumping Potus thread? no...

* Threading, not dressing obvs.
