The root of the faux moral outrage on the left (and trad right) is loss of control. The old establishment lost its power. And the people who linked their own little lives and minds to the old establishment, to vicariously enjoy the power, lost their power position as well.

It's an organisation that's failing in it's key function, to look after former service members.

 

The management and system are just a money wasting pyramid where those that need the help barely get the help required and it's failures have been documented for decades since Vietnam really.

A memo from the Department of Veterans Affairs' chief of staff said the agency aims to return its workforce to just under 400,000 employees.

 

27% are veterans, compared to the general population where 6% are veterans.

 

 

Edit: Sack 70,000 workers, that is nearly 19,000 Veterans sacked.
