You're right, about him being on the BBC, Id forgotten that. It was a late night comedy program on live radio. Not really that funny, the couple of times I heard it. I meant in a serious political commentary type of role though.

Interesting idea about him being a closet Tory. Why so? I don't see it.

I remember Laura Kuensberg holding Boris Johnson firmly to account numerous times, despite her being an out Tory. She was good.

It might work on say ITV or C4 but the BBC have to try to whole impartiality thing even with comedy, granted that's probably 90% Tory bashing and a weak labour joke from the audience.

YouTube is pretty much what ever within reason, but he does do actual standup shows.

Granted from a standup perspective, unlike the unfunny Ben Elton/eddy izzard he is pretty even handed regardless who's in power.

Without making a political point, there are few right wing comedians out there at all, it doesn't lend itself to humour. Bashing individuals works regardless of political stance and deserved too in many cases. Never rated Ben Elton, not funny, Eddie Izzard is hit and miss.

Watched Ricky Gervais a couple of nights ago in Glasgow

Nothing out of bounds, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Gay, Straight, Labour, disabled, LGBTQ alphabet people etc etc they all got tanned big time. Absolutely brilliant gig, if you appreciate free speech.

You no doubt would have been offended beyond belief.

You beat me too it.

They should get this bloke a regular slot on the BBC, to tell things as they really are. He might have to sanitise his delivery somewhat.

Well, is he pro Trump and Farage🤔

Bernie Sanders should have been President and Corbyn should probably have been PM, targeted social media put a lid on that.

The thing with comedy, is that it's just that. They are jokes.

Turn up late at a comedy club and you'll get front row seats. They will destroy you most likely.

Ricky Gervais doesn't seem to align himself with any particular faction, he just takes the piss out of everyone, as we all should.

You're going to have to atleast articulate a thought there.

Unless you're just adding to the sea of lefty, the Donald hating tears, at this rate it'll be a Atlantis style water world dystopian parody.

Nope sunshine,

You have been radicalised by nefarious persons through the power of the internet.

Think about how you used to think before you were spoon fed bile by the right wing and honestly consider if you've always felt that way.

If you have always felt that way I hope you see sense sometime soon.
