If you don't like the message shoot down the messenger eh?

Looking forward to your next insults. Or you could up your game and discuss, or defend. Your silence on Trumpy from his 2 biggest Arb fans speaks volumes that his big bill is undermining all that Musk was brought in to do (and with massive publicity too).

Remind me again what the Donald is spending the savings on ?

360 Billion a year isn't a saving, it is a loan, more debt on future generations.

Bit of mixed metaphor there, you shoot the messenger pigeon regardless of the contents if your the enemy.

In the absence of any details to the contrary we'll continue to assume you're a government paid shill and virtue signalling office monkey counting paperclips and purchasing bog roll for Nicola.

In regard to trump, maybe flesh out the hysterical screaming into detail, you're not a drug dealer saying hush hush I've got some gear.

I am starting to wonder when this current economic model (ponzi scheme, borrowing from our children's future) will come crashing down.

If western nations continually run deficits, their national debt to GDP ratios will continue to increase. The interest paid on servicing the debts only increases, costing governments more and more, causing them to borrow more.

You then reach the situation that the US finds itself in, whereby foreign lenders no longer regards US treasury bonds as 100% reliable. The credit rating for the US then degrades, interest rates on treasury bonds and other forms of national debt increase, meaning the government has to aportion more of it's budget for debt repayment.

Then you get some clown like Trump who passes broad tax cuts for the rich and the deficit increases even further.

At the end of the day, who is actually going to pay for it. and indeed, when?

There’s more than the US in that situation J. We need change and I mean genuine shaken from head to toe change not a succession of red/blue catastrophes. Unlike yourself I do not see membership of the EU cartel as being the answer.

You surprise me, am sure you saw this on your social media. Trumps 'Big Beautiful Bill' passed it's first pass - by one vote - which he has been touting for weeks as the best bill ever, a beautiful bill, the most fantastic (you get the picture, he was proud of it). It's financial effects will be an increase in borrowing by 360 billion a year (dwarfing Musks savings as I highlighted above), a reduction in taxes for the rich coupled with a reduction in what the poorest get in terms of medical assistance should the need it - effectively the poor get poorer and the rich get richer.

There are other things in there but financially that is a fair summary.

Surprised you haven't read into it, I guess you should so you can join in with the discussion instead of firing out your routine insults.

The Arbtalk oracle has spoken. Sat night buzzing in the manky streets of Glasgow it would seem.

My social media, the only tweets I hear are literally birds flying around, I don't trawl twatter.

Routine insults, well why not actually talk about what the Donald is doing instead of just hyped up grandstanding and empty nonsense.

The energy and time that goes into the Trump/Musk student union type insults would be far better off spent badgering his local SNP councillor about the state of his city. I think recently voted the 3rd dirtiest city in the world. Not withstanding the fact any visitors have to share the place and the hotels if you can get one with an ever increasing amount of asylum seekers.
Redirect that huge amount of time and effort you put into this SP and maybe make a difference 👍👍

Atleast in the old days Glasgow might have been a sh1t hole, the shall we say organised locals kept the place in check.

Granted you avoided certain establishments but you never felt particularly unsafe.

Gentrification, congestion charges certainly haven't helped, probably implemented by SP and his come one come all civil servants.
